DACHSER in the United Kingdom
In the United Kingdom DACHSER was established in Northampton in 1975, in order to service the increasing levels of business between DACHSER Germany and the UK market.
After 7 years of continued expansion a brand new cross dock facility was designed and built in the Brackmills business park, greatly enhancing the company's capacity for further growth.
An increasing trend towards storage and value added distribution services prompted DACHSER UK to open a 3rd party multiuser logistics centre, also located on Brackmills, in 1999.
In September 2005 DACHSER UK strengthened its position to serve customers in London and the South East area with the opening of a new facilty in Dartford.
History
Three quarter of a century of global logistics
The DACHSER group celebrated its 75th birthday in 2005.
Mr. Thomas Dachser founded the company in Kempten, Germany in 1930 as a one-man shop initially. Since then, DACHSER has become one of the largest privately held logistics providers in Europe.
In the United Kingdom DACHSER was established in Northampton in 1975.
